About the role

The Manager, Packaging Supplier Performance, Sourcing & Quality Assurance is responsible for ensuring Infinity Global's packaging suppliers consistently meet the company's standards for quality, delivery, cost, sustainability, and technical capability.

This hands-on role combines supplier assessment, sourcing, supplier development, packaging quality assurance, and production support. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams and international suppliers to drive continuous improvement and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality packaging solutions to customers.

The successful candidate will bring strong experience within the packaging industry, with expertise in packaging manufacturing processes, materials, printing technologies, supplier management, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Assessment & Qualification

• Conduct supplier audits and factory visits to assess capability, capacity, quality systems, and technical packaging expertise.

• Evaluate and qualify suppliers for new projects and business requirements.

• Develop and monitor supplier improvement plans where needed.

Supplier Performance & Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships.

• Manage supplier KPIs covering quality, delivery, cost, sustainability, and service performance.

• Drive supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Oversee production follow-up to ensure on-time and compliant deliveries.

Packaging Sourcing & Supplier Development

• Lead RFQ processes, supplier selection, benchmarking, and commercial negotiations.

• Source and develop suppliers specialising in paper-based, printed, and luxury packaging solutions.

• Manage sample development, prototype approvals, and production readiness.

• Identify and qualify new suppliers to support growth, innovation, and capacity needs.

Quality Assurance & Claims Management

• Establish and maintain packaging quality standards across materials, printing, finishing, construction, and functionality.

• Lead quality investigations and corrective action processes (RCA/CAPA) for supplier and customer claims.

• Conduct regular product inspections, factory audits, and quality reviews.

• Manage quality-related cost recovery and supplier accountability where applicable.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Analyse supplier performance, spend, quality, and delivery data.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities, supplier risks, and performance trends.

• Provide reporting and recommendations to support sourcing and supplier management strategies.

Sustainability & Compliance

• Ensure supplier compliance with Infinity Global quality, sustainability, and ethical sourcing standards.

• Support supplier development initiatives related to certifications and responsible sourcing practices.

Location & Travel

• Based in or willing to relocate to the New Delhi/Kalkaji area, with a requirement to be present on-site at the supplier facility during regular working hours.

• Willingness to travel within India and across Asia as required for supplier audits, quality inspections, business reviews, and supplier development activities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in packaging sourcing, supplier management, quality assurance, and project management.

• Minimum 5 years of experience within the packaging industry, preferably involving luxury packaging, paper packaging, rigid boxes, folding cartons, labels, or related packaging categories.

• Strong understanding of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, printing technologies, and finishing applications.

• Experience conducting supplier audits, factory assessments, and supplier development programmes.

• Demonstrated experience managing supplier quality issues and implementing corrective actions.

• Strong analytical skills with experience managing supplier performance data and KPIs.

• Knowledge of FSC, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, SA8000, and EcoVadis preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
